We hope 2024 has started with smiles and hope the rest of the year is filled with hope and good stuff. We started the year hinting at new and exciting developments and I’m so pleased to be sharing the first one with you here.
As a team, we've always been driven to push boundaries, and now, we're ready to elevate the aesthetics of our space to new heights. This year, we're introducing a groundbreaking partnership that not only complements our trusted medical expertise but also adds a vibrant artistic touch to our clinic.
We are actually humbled to announce our collaboration with the esteemed No.1 Mare Street gallery. Throughout 2024, they will be curating collections from six exceptionally talented female artists. Each artist will enjoy a two-month solo residency at Skin & Sanctuary, during which they will create a unique mural wall and showcase a collection of related works within our clinic.
To kick off this exciting partnership, we are honored to host the brilliant and incredibly talented Lucie Flynn as our first resident artist. Lucie is a contemporary artist renowned for her large-scale street paintings. Her work is dynamic, loud, and proud, instantly recognizable for its bold sweeps, splatters, and vibrant colour palettes. Using a mix of spray paint, acrylic, inks, and collage, Lucie brings life to her creations, and we can't wait to see the transformation on our walls.
We invite you to join us on Thursday, 25th January, between 5 - 7pm, to witness the unveiling of Lucie Flynn's exclusive mural and a selection from her collection. The event will take place at the Skin & Sanctuary HQ, 150B Commercial Street, London E1 6NU. Lucie will be present to discuss her work, and we'll be serving drinks and nibbles - because who doesn’t like drinks and nibbles?
If Thursday doesn't suit your schedule, worry not. Lucie's work will be on display at Skin & Sanctuary for two months, and all the fabulous artworks showcased during the residency will be available for purchase online via the No. 1MareStreet website.
As we embark on this new chapter in the early days of the year, we are grateful for the overwhelming support we've received.
