Do You Have a Favourite Festival?

It’s time to make some memories.

The past nine days have been Navratri - each day carrying its own story. The eighth day, dedicated to the goddess Durga, has always been my favourite. It’s a reminder of the power and intelligence of women, of strength and grace, and of new beginnings (and, yes, it comes with very special food). For me, Navratri always feels like a turning point - a shift into new energy as the year begins to close.

And so the season changes. The evenings grow darker, yet the lights begin to twinkle. Our wardrobes become richer, our hair and nails deeper in tone, and still we plan to sparkle. Perhaps it’s the human way of lifting spirits: gathering with others, dressing for the moment, celebrating the stories we carry with us.

Whether it’s Diwali’s festival of light, the playful masks of Halloween, Bonfire Night’s glow, Christmas traditions, or New Year’s anticipation - each celebration has its own magic. What connects them all is the desire to feel good in ourselves and to share that feeling with others.

At Skin & Sanctuary, that’s where we can help. Not by changing who you are, but by making the “getting prepared” part a little simpler. For some, it’s a one-off facial that brings freshness before a family gathering. For others, a subtle tweakment to restore balance and confidence. It might be nutrition support, a longer journey of weight and wellness, or something more restorative. Whatever it is, our approach is always gentle -  guiding you to feel your most beautiful, to live beautifully, in your own way.

This season, as you plan your own celebrations, we’ll be planning a few of our own. Small gatherings in the clinic, moments to share, and ways to bring the spirit of these festivals into our fabulous corner of East London.

We would love for you to pop in for a complimentary consultation and let the fun begin. Tell us your favourite festival, what it means to you, and what you’re planning. We’ll help you feel prepared — because these are the moments worth remembering, and they’re always more beautiful when shared.
