We’re Launching Something That Matters

13th April 2025

There are moments in every clinic’s journey that feel less like business, and more like purpose.
This is one of them.

Over the last few years — and yes, particularly since the pandemic — I’ve had hundreds of conversations with patients, friends, family, and team members. Beautiful, intelligent, resilient (mainly) women, though truly all genders — all quietly carrying more than most people realise.

Fatigue that’s brushed off as normal. Skin changing in ways that don’t make sense. Weight that won’t shift. Sleepless nights. Brain fog. Mood dips. Hormones that feel like strangers. And then there’s everything going on around us — the cost of living, the expectations, the emotional noise.

And beneath it all?
That familiar feeling of “I’m not quite myself.”
Alongside the phrase I’ve repeated to myself, and heard echoed from so many others: This time will pass.”

At Skin & Sanctuary, we believe that time has arrived.
And I hope you’ll join us — and live beautifully through it.

Introducing Human Health Shoreditch

We’re proud to be launching Human Health Shoreditch — a quiet but deeply meaningful evolution of the care we offer at Skin & Sanctuary.

We’re partnering with the remarkable Dr. Mayoni Gooneratne and her expert team to bring Functional Medicine, Hormone Health, and Longevity Care to East London — all within the warm, welcoming walls of our Shoreditch clinic.

Dr. Mayoni will be leading the Human Health offering, bringing with her not only decades of medical expertise, but also a powerful vision of what personalised, root-cause care can look like for modern women.

Currently on annual leave, enjoying a so deserved Easter break with her wonderful family, Dr Mayoni will return later this month to set out the full vision for Human Health Shoreditch. But even now, I can feel how significant her presence will be for our patients and community.

It’s a shift — one that reaffirms what we’ve always believed: that the skin is a reflection of so much more than skincare. And with Dr. Mayoni’s input, we’ll be able to offer something even more complete — where aesthetics meets longevity, and self-care meets deeper wellbeing.

Whether your journey starts with a facial, an injectable, or a conversation about fatigue or food — you’ll be in safe, trusted hands with our growing, extraordinary team.

A Gift from Us to You

To celebrate this next step, we’d love to share something nourishing.

Dr. Mayoni has created a beautiful High-Protein Whole Foods Vegetarian Meal Plan, complete with simple recipes and a shopping list — perfect for a spring reset, especially if you’re busy, overwhelmed, or just need a little structure and support.

If you’d like a copy, simply reply to this post or email me, sonia@skinandsanctuary.com — and I’ll send it across.

S&S: The Network

Because real health starts with real connection.

We’re also launching something new — something from the heart of Skin & Sanctuary.

S&S: The Network. A space to pause, to talk, to ask questions, or to simply breathe.

A space for honest conversations about the things we’ve been told to just "get on with" —
Perimenopause. Burnout. Bloat. Brain fog. Skin confidence. Libido. Weight shifts. Mental health. Emotional load.

We’ll explore these themes through the lens of our expert team — with contributions from our super Registered Nutritionist Swati Madan, and from others in our trusted network — but more importantly, we’ll make space for you.

You don’t need to say anything. You don’t need to know anything.
Just come. Bring your questions, your curiosity, or just your beautiful self.

Our First Gathering: Save the Date

🗓 Wednesday 7th May 2025
🕕 6.30pm
📍 Skin & Sanctuary, Shoreditch

More details will follow soon, but consider this your first invitation to something we believe really matters.

Because this isn’t just about a facial, or a laser, or an injectable.
It’s about helping you feel good in your skin — and in yourself — again.

If you would like to reserve a space or spaces of our first Network meet-up please let reception know. We won’t hold you to it - but it will help to have some idea of numbers.

Why Now?

Because the world is noisy.
Because the health space is overwhelming.
Because women deserve more than quick fixes and conflicting advice.

Because when we make sense of what’s happening — inside and out — we stop feeling broken, and start feeling in control.

And because you’ve trusted us with your skin, your stories, and your time.
For that, I am endlessly grateful.

We’d love to see you at the clinic — or at the launch of S&S: The Network.
And in the meantime, if you’d like to talk one-to-one, both Swati Madan and Dr. Jananny Natarajan are offering complimentary consultations throughout this month. Swati on advice about nutrition and weight-loss and Dr Jananny on injectable treatments (she is amazing).

We’re here. Whenever you’re ready.

With ❤️
